Érica Azevedo Lima is a Brazilian lawyer, with expertise in Business Law on a national and international level. Since the beginning of her academic studies, she joined prestigious boutique law firms, specialized in Commercial Law and Customs Law. Afterwards, gathering experience, she founded a Law Firm, leading the International Trade team.
She has an LLB at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). In 2016 she received a merit-based scholarship from the UFPE to study for one semester at the Alma Mater Università di Bologna – Italy.
In 2021 she was one out of four selected students to receive the Roy Good Scholarship, provided by the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), due to her excellent academic history and study research. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in International Business Law at QMUL, England, graduating with Merit (2022).
During her time as a student in the UK, in 2022 she organised the Brazil Forum UK, an event created and coordinated by Brazilian students in the UK to be a platform for plural, transparent and interdisciplinary debate on Brazilian problems and solutions.
Between 2021-2022, she was a Secretary-General at the Commission of Customs Law and Foreign Trade, and is still a member of the Commission nowadays, as well of the Commission of International Relations, and of the State Coordination of Brazil-China Relations, all supported by the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) in the State of Pernambuco.
Érica is fluent in Portuguese, English and Italian.
